This double-blind, placebo-controlled study, sponsored by the National Institutes of Health, was designed to determine the safety and effectiveness of EDTA chelation therapy in individuals with coronary artery disease.

The results, published in the Journal of the American Medical Association (JAMA) 11, showed that a course of 40 infusions of a high-dose multivitamin and disodium EDTA chelation solution modestly reduced the risk of adverse cardiovascular outcomes, including recurrent heart attacks, stroke, and death, among study participants who had previously suffered a heart attack.

Additionally, a follow-up study, TACT2 12, is currently underway to further explore the potential benefits of EDTA chelation therapy for post-heart attack patients with diabetes, as this subgroup seemed to benefit the most in the initial TACT study.

It’s important to note that oral chelation supplements may not offer the same level of cardiovascular benefits as the intravenous EDTA used in some of the studies, as the absorption rate of oral EDTA is lower. We can say that we use acid-resistant capsules in our chelation product so that our EDTA Calcium is absorbed better by bypassing the stomach and entering the intestines with greater potential uptake. Do not use EDTA in capsule form if it is not in acid resistance capsules, and only EDTA Calcium Disodium should be used for maximum effect and safety.

This process is akin to a lock and key, where the chelating agent (the lock) fits perfectly with the metal ion (the key).

Where Do the Toxins Go?
